Position: Manager, Information Security

The MSS Project Manager II role is a hands-on management position with high
visibility and significant responsibility with our mid-tier and enterprise MSS
customers. The PM is responsible for providing end-to-end cross-discipline
leadership throughout the MSS Service Deployment lifecycle, and coordinating
with various groups within the MSS business unit to ensure on-time and
successful project deployments with a high degree of customer satisfaction. The
PM manages each aspect of the service deployment project including project
initiation, solution design, provisioning, service activation and transition to
ongoing service delivery. The deployments that the PM manages are large scale
with significant tactical, financial or strategic implications for VeriSign.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple customer deployments simultaneously, juggling activities and
priorities accordingly
- Provide revenue-related projections on an ongoing basis based on varying
degrees of completion of the deployments
- Seek out continuous education around the technical and procedural components
of the various MSS services in order to better serve the customer and guide
them through the deployment
- Identify, prioritize, mitigate, manage and resolve project issues,
constraints, dependencies and risks in conjunction with the customer
- Create and manage overall project plans for customer deployments
- Define and manage to critical success factors in conjunction with the customer
- Communicate ongoing status and issues to customer and escalate critical
conditions to internal VeriSign management
- Facilitate decision making with customer stakeholders, balancing the needs of
different constituencies and facilitating consensus in the customer organization
- Be a champion and key contributor of continuous improvement of PM best
practices, using innovative ideas to increase effectiveness and efficiency of
the MSS PM team
- PMI Certification is a plus
- Minimal Travel
