Position: Security Consultant
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-08-12
Job Purpose: The Security Consultant role is critical to providing security
assessment services. The Security Consultant is responsible for performing
components of security assessments for clients. The tasks performed within this
position include client profiling, security assessment, vulnerability
verification, and report preparation.
How you will spend your time:
•Perform security assessments using technical and job knowledge, verify
and document findings, create reports, work with other team members to ensure
quality, and present findings (reports) to technical and executive teams. 50%
•Develop and document processes and procedures related to security
assessments (e.g., technical guidelines), business documentation, and project
management collateral. 25%
•Miscellaneous ad hoc and administrative duties associated with driving
new revenue, building a business, referring customers, establishing partner
relationships, providing I/T support, and other small business/administrative
work. 25%

Education/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities/Certification
This position requires a strong understanding of technology, enterprise
security, and risk management. To be successful you need the following
qualifications:
•Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, Math, or Science degrees
preferred
•IT experience working as a programmer, system administrator, network
engineer, or other similar role is a plus
•1-5 years of on the job technical security assessment experience
•Motivation and ability to learn quickly
•Able to work independently as well as on multiple projects simultaneously
•Proficient verbal and written communication skills are mandatory
•Good business acumen and a strong customer orientation
•Able to deal well with ambiguity
•Action oriented
•Carries out work with a high degree of integrity
•Able to creatively solve business problems on the fly.
