Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States

Analyst – Information Security
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate the development, enhancement and implementation of appropriate
policy and standards for data security safeguards for
the protection of Corporate assets and confidentiality. Assist with a
corporate-wide data security awareness program through
presentations, posters, newsletters and other forms of communication. Duties to
include administration of Department website used disseminating
Awareness materials. Review development, testing and implementation of
appropriate security plans, products and control techniques to protect
Corporate assets and information.As directed, provide technical
knowledge, to support departmental data
security staff in appropriate data security procedures and products.
Assist with events requiring the activation of the CIRT (Computer Incident
Response Team) as well as taking the roll of either Lead or Assistant
Investigator during Computer Investigations and Forensic reviews.
Monitor existing and proposed industry standard setting groups, State and
Federal legislation and regulatory laws pertaining to information security and
privacy. Other relevant duties as may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
College Degree is preferred (Computer Science, Communications, Systems
Engineering, Information Systems), but not necessary if incumbent has
equivalent systems and business experience.Above average communication skills,
both oral and written.Three years or more experience in operations, development
or planning and three years of data security experience.
Sound understanding of data security principles and practices.
Understanding of Incident Response and Computer Forensic Ability to analyze log
files from multiple sources to resolve investigations
Familiarity with common forensic toolkits, Encase and FTK. Knowledge of
process for creating forensic backups and images as well as
procedures for establishing chain of custody for potential evidence. CISSP
certification or the ability to achieve certification within one year
preferred, The individual must continually maintain a high level of current
technical knowledge and skills in order to remain current in this profession.
