Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

We are Health Care Service Corporation operating Blue Cross Blue Shield plans
in Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, & newly acquired Oklahoma. We are experiencing
a period of tremendous growth and are opening several new opportunities on our
Network Security Team.
This position is responsible for the 2nd/3rd level security incident and
service support of the HCSC Security Network Security Infrastructure.
Responsibilities consist of device availability monitoring, security event
monitoring and incident response. Validate and enforce Change and Configuration
Management of security access controls, policies and standards. Perform
Security Quality Assurance functions such as network and vulnerability scanning
along with documentation validation of security devices, infrastructure and
change activities. Provide 1st level security incident investigation and as
liaison to the Incident Response Office. Additional responsibilities include
managing repair of services, risk assessment, vulnerability mitigation,
implementation of technology and systems, and contributing to establishing and
maintaining security standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

ob Requirements:
1) 4 years IT work experience with a bachelor degree OR 6 years IT work
experience; 2) 4 years experience in the data communications field, with a
focus on design, implementation and support with hands-on experience within the
security and network infrastructure; 3) 4 years experience with firewalls,
Intrusion Detection Systems, load balancers, penetration testing, VPNs; 4)
Demonstrated documentation experience; 5) 4 years experience of TCP/IP
protocol, packet capture techniques and log analysis;
Preferred Job Requirements:
1) 4 years experience and expert level proficiency in firewall products,
routers, load balancers and Intrusion Detection Systems; 2) 4 years experience
and advanced level understanding of 2 or more operating systems with the
ability to harden and security certify at least 1 operating system; 3)
Certifications in at least one of the following disciplines: Cisco, Enterasys
Dragon, Checkpoint, SANS/GIAC and CISSP.
