BCP/Information Security Analyst - Assistant Manager
Investment Banking
Reporting To: BCP and Information Security Manager
Purpose of Job
The BCP and Information Security Manager reports to the Head of Regulation and
Control and is responsible for developing, co-ordinating, implementing and
maintaining business continuity and emergency response plans across the firm in
order to ensure the appropriate resilience in the event of a crisis. He is also
expected to provide timely and accurate information on the state of Business
Continuity readiness to management at all times and be an effective change
agent.
The BCP & Information Security Analyst will have a key role in providing active
support to the Manager.
S/He will:
1) be responsible for the delivery of firm wide initiatives, supporting the
assessment, planning, testing, reporting and maintenance of business continuity
across the firm's various business lines.
2) assist in implementing effective, time driven recovery strategies supported
by co-ordinated plans, processes and testing of product resilience.
3) as a team member, share responsibility for business as usual activities and
provide support for the business at times of crisis.
Main Job Functions & Tasks
* Help develop BC plans working closely with the BCP & Information Security
Manager and key stakeholders;
* Assist in the planning and testing of departmental exercises to rehearse BCM
response;
* Undertake, assist and report on testing activities. Fully document and
evaluate the results of the tests and make cases for improvements where
required;
* Assist in establishing metrics for tests and all related BC activities;
* Help monitor and review BC plans;
* Assess capabilities and recommend new strategies or remediation actions;
* Manage projects, audit responses and remediation action plans;
* Produce management, governance and stakeholder reporting;
* Deliver training, support, direction and advice to wide variety of
stakeholder groups.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in risk management disciplines as well as a working understanding
of Business Continuity principles and tools (Business Impact Analysis, Risk
Assessment etc);
* High level of personal initiative, creativity and motivation;
* Strong communication and influencing skills;
* Good presentation skills;
* The ideal candidate should have practical experience of business continuity
life cycle within a large enterprise environment and knowledge of Investment
Banking is an advantage.
