Senior Security & Protocols Engineer
The Senior Security SW Developer will be part of a security & protocol analysis
attacks team whose main task is to model protocols in order to develop attacks
over a wide range of applications. Security engineers analyze protocols and the
systems that implement them, model them, and incorporate attacks to exploit the
robustness or security flaws within systems implementing the protocols. Senior
level security engineers also help mentor other engineers with understanding
protocols and concepts, develop new exploitation methods and work with
customers to better understand real-world deployment issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
- Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking/application protocols and
concepts.
- Knowledge of higher level protocols in at least one specific area (e.g.,
VoIP, MS, Telco, Web Services).
- Ability to quickly come up to speed on new and complex communication
protocols.
- Ability to write tools to discover and illustrate vulnerabilities.
- Ability to analyze and decode network protocols from a security perspective.
- Strong security background with familiarity on security concepts including:
- Common programming mistakes and how to exploit them.
- Black box protocol implementation and analysis.
- Experience performing code audits and/or binary analysis.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages.
- Knowledge of object-oriented concepts and experience in C++ and Ruby a
plus.
- Detailed expertise of protocols in a specific area (e.g., streaming
media) a plus.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Independent and creative thinker with drive and initiative.
