Position: Security Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas, United States
Type: Contract

The project we're working on for our client, is a large Security Operations
Center Build-Out. TEKsystems is looking for technical professionals who are
will work with the Department of Information Resources here in Austin to stand
up a Security solution for a Core MPLS Network. This is a very large and unique
Network. The SOC is currently in the design and installation phase and plans on
being operational by the end of August.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

TIER 2 Description: (Similar to Tier 3 but with 2-3 years of experience)
TEKsystems is currently looking for Tier 2 Cisco Network Engineers with
Enterprise/Carrier Class experience in Troubleshooting, and Implementation of
Cisco ASA, PIX and FWSMs. (Fire Wall Service Modules) Tier 2 Engineers will
serve as the escalation point for Tier 1 Technicians providing advanced
troubleshooting and analysis of network events. Qualified Candidates will have
2-3 years experience in Cisco Network Security, and a basic understanding of
Fire Wall Service Modules. Basic Routing Protocol experience in OSPF, EIGRP is
also needed. Certifications typically associated with this role are as follows
but not limited to: SSCP, CCNP, CCSP, or Cisco Security Specializations. Any
experience with Citrix, NetForensics and Cisco Works along with a working
knowledge of MPLS networks is a PLUS.
