Position: Software Engineer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-08-17
Application Security Inc. a leading provider of software security products to
identify and hire software engineers for their AppRadar product uses a variety
of techniques to monitor database traffic. Engineers in this position will
research and develop new methods to extend AppRadar’s coverage to
additional database platforms or to better monitor existing platforms. A
creative mind with a thorough understanding of software is critical for this
role. The ideal candidate will have experience developing cross-platform
commercial products on Windows and Unix platforms and will be skilled in
designing distributed system
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
• Strong C++ and programming skills
• Demonstrated experience in software architecture, design and
development
• Basic knowledge of database management systems
• Software development experience on Microsoft Windows and UNIX platforms
• Highly motivated team player and a self-starter, with excellent written
and verbal communication skills
• Experience with high-volume and/or distributed applications a plus, but
not required
• Experience developing security applications a plus, but not required
• IDA Pro or other disassemblers a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of SPARC instruction set a plus, but not required
A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years software development experience is
required. Master’s degree preferred.
