Sales Engineer, Public Sector – Location: Washington, DC area

Liquid Machines Inc., is looking for an aggressive, highly-motivated 
professional to join our Public Sector Sales team in Washington, DC. The ideal 
applicant will be self-directed, well-organized, articulate, and a team player. 
This person will be a technical evangelist for sales, providing assistance in 
demonstrations, sales calls, proposals, trade shows and product 
deployment/implementation. The Sales Engineer plays a vital role in closing 
business and must possess a strong balance of consultative sales skills and 
broad technical knowledge.  


This customer-facing position takes primary responsibility for the technical 
relationship with prospects and customers. The candidate must fully understand 
the entire product line; effectively interact with Product Development, Product 
Managers, Product Support, Quality Engineering, Sales and Marketing. The Sales 
Engineer will deliver technical sales presentations, respond to questions and 
product inquiries, install and configure enterprise software, and provide 
product training to customers and partners. The successful candidate will be 
responsible for effective sales efforts, including cultivating new customer 
accounts, advising customers on product adaptations and introducing new 
products to existing customers. 




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------


•Must have a minimum of five years experience selling and implementing 
emerging enterprise software solutions.  
•Must have at a minimum five years experience in the government sector.
•Must have technical knowledge and hands-on-experience with enterprise 
security and systems administration including Windows-based operating systems, 
network infrastructure, 3-tier architecture, directory services (AD and LDAP), 
authentication, encryption and system administration.
•Must have technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and the familiarity 
with .NET. 
•Demonstrated experience analyzing customer problems, requirements and 
proposing technical solutions.
•Must develop and maintain sales tools such as demonstrations and 
presentation materials.
•Must be able to create sales proposals (RFI’s/RFP’s), 
contribute to white papers, and technical documentation.
•Must have, at a minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree with a technical 
minor.
•Must possess excellent presentation, oral and written communication 
skills.
•Must have hands-on experience implementing enterprise-class software 
applications. 
•Must be willing to travel at least 30% of the time.

Desirable Requirements

•Experience with security software products such as firewalls, reverse 
proxies (e.g. ISA), IDS and PKI. 
•Experience/knowledge of Web and Application Servers, Web services, 
database systems, Windows applications and .NET.
•Experience with Windows RMS and other rights management technologies.
•Experience with Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, 
Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry, and encryption technologies.
•Professional Services experience implementing enterprise software 
solutions.
•Experience with document management and collaboration software such as 
Microsoft SharePoint.
•Experience working with federal resellers and partners.
•Government security clearance is preferred.
