POSITION SUMMARY: Lunarline is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst. Salary $65-85K. Location: Department of Commerce, Washington, D.C. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • Perform system categorization • Perform system test and evaluation • Perform IT security penetration testing and vulnerability testing of IT networks and systems • Perform security configuration reviews • Write reports for management as needed to convey evaluation findings and recommendations • Review selected C&A packages for compliance with agency’s C&A policy, as well as compliance to NIST Special Publications guidance • Assist in the development of management reports containing meaningful recommendations for improving the C&A packages. REQUIREMENTS: The candidate will be a senior level Information Security Analyst whom performs security assessments for federal government clients, in order to promote agency compliance with various governmental regulations, primarily FISMA and OMB A-130. The position requires the ability to leverage technically focused personnel for assessments of both application and general support systems. The candidate will have prior experience performing full scope Risk Management processes for a federal client, to include: Certification and Accreditation (C&A), FISMA Self Assessments, Technical Assessments (Vulnerability analysis and penetration testing) and Risk Assessments. A strong understanding of how to apply the principles of Information Security in a variety of circumstances is a must. The candidate will possess a high level understanding of application and hardware architecture to apply the principles of Information Security to various information systems. The candidate will have had prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies. The candidate will be well versed in the current state of Information Security and be able to interpret the requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, GAO, etc). EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline. TRAVEL REQUIRED: Requires the ability to travel to various company office sites for internal business and client meetings.
