Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Roseland, New Jersey, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-08-09
The Sr. Internet Security Analyst will maintain the security infrastructure.
This position provides implementation and support for the day-to-day security
operations. Supports the security projects, as well as, provides level 1
support for the team. This position will implement and maintain security
infrastructure and will have responsibility for monitoring and maintaining the
associated hardware, operating system, software and utilities. Deploying and
maintaining these systems will be 80% of the candidates job function.
3-5 years experience with the implementation and support of security products
and support of security Engineers. This person should be able to perform all
support tasks, such as: installation of software, configuration of software and
problem determination and resolution. Have significant knowledge of security
technology. Skills necessary include Windows NT, knowledge of UNIX,
understanding and experience with Internet and security technologies, such as:
TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SSL, PKI, Firewalls, load balancers, intrusion
detection, and website monitoring. Assist others on hardware/software problem
determination. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to work under pressure of time constraints and to prioritize.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills Include:
• Security Analyst, SIM’s event correlation engineering
(netforensics or equivalent product)
• Strong experience with network based IDS/IPS (Cisco, Stealthwatch or
equivalent product)
• Large scale (1000+) Host based IPS deployment (Entercept, CSA or
equivalent product)
• Compliance monitoring (ESM or equivalent product)
• URL filtering experience (Websense or equivalent product)
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise wide IDS and Network
Admission Control
• Extensive network troubleshooting
• General knowledge in Linux, UNIX, Solaris and Windows operating systems
Desired skills:
• Strong experience with firewalls, VPN, routers, switches, and
encryption
• Background in Cisco engineering
• Perform network traffic and topology assessments
• Familiar with Penetration Testing methodologies and tools using
commercial or non-commercial software, or through the use of manual scripts and
native commands in Internet, Intranet, and wireless environments
• Knowledge of advanced security products and services
• Wireless security
• System OS hardening
• Large scale experience with Public Key Infrastructures (PKI)
• Forensics and incident investigation techniques
