Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
Type: Contract

Our Client has a contract opportunity for a UNIX Admin for Corporate
Information Security.
This position provides lead technical design and engineering functions in the
creation of technology and business solutions focused on security configuration
and operation with in Distributed Systems Security. The candidate would also be
responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Protect information assets through the management, administration and
monitoring of UNIX systems enterprise wide in support of various Corporate and
CIS initiatives.
This position provides 24/7 support for current software tools such as BoKs
Server Control (Keon), used to help secure the UNIX environment.
It involves day to day communications with peer support groups required to
maintain a secured environment.
It also involves documenting security standards and procedures and staying
current with state and federal legislation, regulations and standards.
It is responsible for taking corrective action for process and control
vulnerabilities.
It conducts risk assessment and analysis on issued for management awareness.
It provides leadership in Information Security solutions for the UNIX
environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/science discipline or equivalent
work experience is required.
Minimum of seven years experience with UNIX platforms: Solaris, HPUX, AIX, and
Linux.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in Perl, PHP and Shell Scripting and
will have expert knowledge in implementing changes with information security
products and procedures.
The person must be detailed oriented and excellent customer service/follow-up
skills.
Experience is needed with Linux, Digital Unix, Websphere, iPlanet,
NDM,networking and knowledge in load balancing and clustering techniques is a
plus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills and a strong work ethic are
required.
Must be able to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment,
with ability to work in a fast paced environment, while efficiently
prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
