Security Engineer/Developer
Are you the Subject Matter Expert in developing secure code? Do you have
innovative ideas that you would like to implement and bring new solutions on
the table? I am looking for a Security Software Developer for a contract
position for the Security Research department of the software giant in Redmond,
WA. The contract is 7+ months with possibilities of extensions. The project is
in stealth mode at this point so any additional information will be given on a
case by case basis.
Do you like to develop code against Security Threats or Vulnerability Issues?
Are you a SME for Windows Malware issues? If so, read on.
What you will be doing:
• Design and develop software in order to prevent vulnerabilities from
being exploited by malicious users.
· Build tools for Windows Malware Utility
• Compose threat models of products.
• Conduct vulnerability risk analysis.
• Coordinate product security architecture.
• Develop security test tools and conduct penetration testing.
• Develop and support the Security Development Lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver formal training of engineering personnel on security
awareness in software designs, implementation, and testing.
• Track, incorporate and comply with commercial and governmental (domestic
and foreign) security standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

What you need to apply:
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
Information Security
• Strong C/C++ development skills.
• Knowledge of current security vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Knowledge of theory and application of current cryptographic algorithms
and protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of network security protocols.
A bonus if you have these skills:
• Experience with security vulnerability testing tools, development of
threat assessments and security testing methodologies
• CISSP certification
• SANS GSE certification
• COM/DCOM security experience
• Windows Operating System knowledge
• Security testing experience
