JOB REQUIREMENTS

This position is responsible for developing infrastructure designs for 
qualified eTrust opportunities for and/or delivery to customers to be included 
in proposals, statement of work, and detailed implementation plans. Ensure 
critical architectural requirements are maintained throughout implementation as 
design changes are included. Ensure continuity for customer from pre-sales to 
delivery. 

Security Architects are responsible for ensuring a continuity handoff from 
pre-sales to the delivery organization.  Security Architects will conduct 
technical presentations and support trials as needed.  This qualified person 
will analyze and review client infrastructure to determine suitable, feasible 
design that meets client needs.   They will also identify technical issues and 
support issues resolution and/or escalation during implementation phase.   
Security Architects serve as a subject matter expert for CA product 
implementations (e.g., CA and non-CA led delivery).  They create technical 
continuity for customer by following up on CA services led implementations to 
offer support when needed.   Security architects provide technical continuity 
throughout customer engagements, assemble information to determine customer 
requirements and analyze customer infrastructure to determine suitable, 
feasible solution(s). They also provide detailed designs based on customer 
requiremen
 ts, monitor technical issues that may impact solution design during 
implementation phase, evaluate the solution design during the implementation of 
the project, identify additional opportunities after CA Services led 
implementations and  certify both high level and detailed design documents and 
determine the need for further review by other internal resources.  Security 
Architects actively participate in the CA Architectural Community.  They are 
required to maintain appropriate internal and external certifications.  
Security Architect will also report experiences in order to add to CA 
intellectual capital.  

Typically a minimum of 5-10 years as an IT practitioner or equivalent 
education, with at least 5 years in the design and implementation of 
large-scale, multi-tiered, heterogeneous Security IT infrastructures.   CISSP 
certification is a plus.  Identity Management Experience required preferably 
with IdentityMinder and/or SiteMinder.  Experience with CA software eTrust 
preferred.

Candidate must have excellent analytical skills. Architect must also be able to 
multi-task (e.g., handle multiple projects at once) and have understanding of 
software sales cycle. Security Architects must have the ability to lead CA 
Technical team in developing overall solution design and the ability to 
communicate technical insights and architecture effectively to project manager 
and other counterparts. Security Architects must also possess the ability to 
work with and establish relationship with project managers and pre-sales 
consultants along with the ability to develop designs that will be scalable in 
client's production environment across range of CA products. Architect must 
achieve and maintain certification as a CATS architect for eTrust and remain 
current on product changes and architectural impacts. 
This position requires 75% travel.
