Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-07-30
Pay rate is 125K to 150K
Perform dual role as Pre-sales Solution Architect and Post-sales Deployment
Consultant within the discipline of Networking and Security, providing support
for mainly Cisco, Juniper, & Checkpoint products as an individual contributor.
Duties include:
• Analyze customer networks during Pre Sales cycle for design improvement
of existing networking and security infrastructure.
• Provide leading role expertise during Post Sales cycle for all aspects
of implementation and project management of network build-out.
• Consult clients on various computer networking technologies via
compliance audits and develop solutions for operation efficiency, reliability,
security and cost savings.
• Create total network management solutions to help customer with
securing and managing complex networking systems.
• Design and perform internal and external penetration tests and audit
the results of those tests for remediation purposes.
• Knowledge in command-line level for each device as well as high level
architectural & in-depth protocol understanding for various enterprise
networking/ security technologies
JOB REQUIREMENTS

7+ years of hands-on experience in Information Technology field either as
Network Infrastructure Architect, Deployment Consultant, or Expert Day-to-Day
Network Operation Engineer or Security Engineer.
Firewall and network security setup, administration and testing. Must have
extensive experience at internal/external penetration testing, system
remediation, and penetration auditing.
Must have current product knowledge In Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, and other
prevalent network infrastructure components.
Cisco Routing, Switching & Security:
• VLANS and routing protocols BGP OSPF EIGRP, HSRP 6500 switching 7200
7500 series routers.
• PIX Firewall NAT, DMZ, ACL’s redundant Site-to-Site, 3000 client
VPN Configurations. PIX to Cisco router VPN configurations. PIX
Juniper Routing & Security:
• M-series experience with OSPF BGP ISIS and MPLS
• Netscreen firewall setup and VPN configurations.
CheckPoint:
• Firewall administration in highly redundant VRRP configuration.
• Multi-vendor VPN configuration with the checkpoint firewall.
• Aventia and connectra experience.
Additional:
• AAA, Syslogd, tcpdump, Linux operating Systems, Data Center Design.
• Network and Operating system hardening. Network Auditing and
assessment.
• Internal access layer security, host based IDS.
A minimum two of the following certifications must be possessed by a qualified
candidate:
• Cisco CCIE
• Cisco CCSP
• Juniper JNCIS-FW
• Juniper JNCIS-M
• Checkpoint CCSE
