Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States

POSITION SUMMARY:
Lunarline is seeking an experienced Security Enterprise Architect / SOA Expert
: Salary $85-115K DOE.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
• Serve as a Enterprise Security Architect / SOA Expert.
(Must have a Strong Understanding of SOA or/and Enterprise Architecture)
• Follow specific standards for all phases of SDLC
• Posses knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of
expertise, including XML, Web Services, SOA, object-oriented databases, and
data warehouses.
• Have the ability to analyze operational requirements and assess data
processing technology and capacity requirements
• Have the ability to plan, implement and test system software
• Have the ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to
professional personnel in area of expertise
• Analyze management needs regarding use of integrated data processing
equipment or operations and processes
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule investigations, feasibility studies and
surveys, including economic evaluation of proposed and existing tools and
applications
• Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment,
and/or systems
• Make financial evaluations and proposals regarding current and/or future
hardware and software capabilities/ requirements
• Have knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user computer systems,
applications, and/or equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate must have excellent client skills. Must also have
excellent analytical skills; communications, presentation, human relations and
interpersonal skills; and professional appearance and presentation skills. The
candidate should be able to work with customer project managers to provide
support.
• The qualified engineer should have 8-10 years of professional experience
with a broad range of technical skills in a large IT organization.
• Direct hands-on experience with web-based applications, Oracle database,
Java, J2EE and XML, including functional and performance testing.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC)
and application program development alternatives. Good project management
skills are essential.
• Ten to Twelve years of professional experience as a Technology
Specialist preferred.
• Strong conceptualization and evangelizing experience within a large
complex environment highly desired.
• Experience with tools, processes and standards for SDLC preferred.
Skills in XML, Web Services and Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) preferred.
• Experience with developing and implementing a Transition Plan for a
significant software application is desirable. An understanding of federal
government systems is preferred.
EDUCATION:
• Minimum BS with a major emphasis in computer science, engineering, or
similar studies is mandatory.
• Graduate Degree is preferred.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Any IT Related.
