Job Description (English)
SUMMARY:
Responsible for project management of launching products and services to
market.
Experience must include a pattern of success in driving Product Life Cycle
(PLC) planning, executing and delivering products and services to market
working with a cross functional team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Apply standard VeriSign Product Life Cycle (PLC) processes and standards
* Drive products through the PLC from concept to launch and ultimately
obsolescence.
* Deliver products on-time and ensure operational readiness at time of product
GA (General Availability)
* Manage appropriate level of communication based on audience, set & manage
expectations with stakeholders, facilitate & drive project meetings, become a
trusted advisor at team level across projects.
* Lead cross-functional PLC teams.
- Organize and charter the PLC team.
- Drive each team member to complete their deliverables and tasks on schedule.
- Raise accountability and resolve issues, dependencies and conflicts.
- Motivate, coach and celebrate milestones.
* Create and maintain the Project Plan
- Drive planning and tracking of tasks, schedule, resources and
dependencies
- Identify and act on the critical path and remove bottlenecks
* Prepare go/no-go decisions with the cross functional team members.
* Centralize product and team charter, documentation and PLC artifacts and
administer team portals.
* Improve PLC consistency, repeatability and predictability to reduce cycle
time and time to market.
* Demonstrate domain expertise in leading-edge project management practices,
communities and standards.
EXPERIENCE:
* 6+ years experience in project management in enterprise, ecommerce, security
and/or content delivery products and services.
* Proven experience in driving numerous products from concept through launch
using project management best practices.
* BS in engineering, computer science, information systems or equivalent
experience.
* MBA or MS in engineering or information systems or equivalent experience is
strongly preferred.
* Proven project management skills. Professional certification is a plus but
not required.
* Proven team leadership and management skills
* Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrate core values of respect, accountability, passion, integrity and
drive.
* Proven expert with business productivity tools (MSProject, MSVisio, MSOffice,
Sharepoint, etc.)
