The monitoring of the various devices, networks and employees of the Firm are performed using various monitoring tools. A web portal is provided to view all the available data and to allow each department or division to better understand their risks and exposures, allowing efficient remediation of vulnerabilities. We use a multitude of security tools that are part software products and part internally developed. Their use is to identify by exception based review using varying data mining techniques the misuse or vulnerabilities of the firms systems. Using these tools we look to analysis people and technology behaviour sometime using defined known ‘signatures’ and sometimes by profiling, but all the time to exception based targeted analysis. Our work is far more sophisticated than the perceived media hype of big brother surveillance. We are looking for a developer with some of the skills sets below to come into the team with drive and enthusiasm to learn about information security, develop existing solutions and to develop the next generation suite of tools. Responsibilities • Reporting into the SecMon Development and Solutions Manager, the candidate will be responsible for in engineering solutions to provide SecMon processes and products using development tool sets. • Work as part of the broader project team with Engineers, Threat Analysts and other project teams. • Provide support for current SecMon processes, tools and code. • Development of web portals and reporting systems to aid identification of security issue, anomalies or incidents. • Responsible for maintenance of existing Websites and some back end databases, code and scripts. • Support, design or develop improvements to existing vendor software and its integration into the InfoSec systems as determined by the SecMon manager. • Provide status and tracking documentation. • Engage DBA, SAs and other developers to ensure client requirements are met. • Drive projects or enhancements through from specification through to development, production and support. • Providing documentation to product sets and processes delivered. • Have the discipline and interpersonal skills to work well in a global environment, complementing teams in other locations. • Provide support for current SecMon processes, tools and code to resolve failures and ensure SLAs are met.
