Position: Security Consultant
Location: Overland Park, Kansas, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Our client is a leading provider of solutions and services for the management
of IT infrastructure, business information, and compliance management. This is
an exceptional opportunity for a Security Consultant within the customer
solutions team.
As Security Consultant you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of
solutions to client expectations. You will implement solutions according to
architectural specifications and best practices and may negotiate with internal
and external customers to achieve planned goals and objectives. Qualified
candidates will also install and configure software according to documented
customer requirements.
Candidates must have 3+ years experience in the IT industry with 3+ years in
security and/or enterprise software deployments. Strong understanding of
security concerns as well as business understanding with the ability to
demonstrate and/or explain how technology can fulfill the security and business
requirements of the customer. Must have strong attention to detail, excellent
analytical skills and strong communication skills.

Skills and Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have the following characteristics:
- Degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience
- Excellent skills at documenting security problems and recommendations
- Ability to clearly present project findings to technical and management
personnel
- Application design and development experience or enterprise software
deployments
- Knowledge of web application architecture and security (ASP/.NET, Java/J2EE,
Web Services)
- Knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, XML, etc.)
- Experience with databases and SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Ability to multitask, including effective task prioritization and time
management skills
- Preference given to applicants with application security, consulting, and/or
audit experience
- Security-related certification a plus (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, etc.)
