Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Cairo, , Egypt
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2007-07-11
Leading financial services firm seeks a Senior Information Security Analyst to
maintain and deliver enterprise wide IT Information security.
The scope primarily involves information Security, Information Security risk
management, but also covers other areas related to safeguarding of information
and assets.
• Assess security risks, identify and recommend effective solutions, and
consult with operations or business units when necessary.
• Improve security infrastructure through internal assessments,
identification of vulnerabilities, and managing corrective actions.
• Identify and implement missing key security program elements such as
security policies, standards, guidelines, patch policy, Computer Incident
Response Team procedures.
• Implement IT Security Architecture and set all policies and procedures.
• Create Monthly IT Security Steering Committee meetings to cover all IT
security projects and their effect on all business units.
• Implemented a mandatory Security Education and Awareness program for
all employees.
• Interfaced with business units to understand the risks and address
their needs.
• Compare the new Security Architecture to NIST , ISO 17799, etc.
• Assist with the investigation of security breaches and assist with
disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BS/MS in Computer Science/Information Security/Risk Management or BS/MS
and relevant experience in Information Security/Risk Management.
• 5 years experience in Information Technology with background in
information security, risk management and/or auditing.
• Current professional certification(s) in security and/or auditing
preferred (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA, GIAC..etc).
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically as required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in networking, operating
systems, databases, protocols, security technologies, and risk assessments,
Routers, Firewall.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, project
management, written and oral communication skills, including strong
presentation skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of general audit principles, security
administration processes and frameworks, metrics collection and reporting.
• Extensive knowledge of security standards, procedures and policies
pertaining to data access and information systems.
• Technical knowledge and experience with assessing/auditing security of
routers, firewalls, VPN and IDS required.
• Technical knowledge and experience with assessing/auditing security of
servers, systems and networks required.
• Solid understanding of security architecture for both client/server and
web applications required.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
