Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-06-14
Official Title: Supervisor, Engineering and Forensics
Manages all activities related to the deployment of Logical controls, as well
as, the ongoing monitoring, incident response and investigations capabilities
of each control. The incumbent will provide direct leadership to a
multidiscipline team of Information Security Analysts including designated
functional leads.
Reports To:
Director-Information Security Management
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions)
1. Manages all activities associated with the deployment and ongoing
maintenance of all logical controls and countermeasures.
2. Manages the monitoring and response activities associated with all logical
controls.
3. Establishes operating procedures in accordance to both internal controls and
external controls.
4. Provides consultation and guidance as they relate to vulnerability
remediation, applying policy and standards or otherwise risk mitigation.
5. Develops guidelines and oversees the daily activities related to
investigations, incident response and monitoring of logical controls.
6. Maintains corporate-wide intrusion detection, network vulnerability,
Anti-Virus and various other countermeasures in accordance with ISM standards.
7. Provides ongoing critical leadership and input into the security awareness
program.
8. Serves as Information Security Lead on various internal and external facing
committees.
9. Serves as Information Security liaison for third party auditing.
10. Maintains a high degree of visibility within the both IT & LOB (line of
Business) executive management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Demonstrated knowledge of integrated security systems, specifically, the
principles, policies and procedures which create the “core” of an
integrated security management program. Demonstrate a comprehensive
understanding of information security concepts and principles. Comprehensive
knowledge of integrated security practices in a Fortune 500 company.
Skills/Abilities:
Able to obtain and maintain the Certified Information Systems Security
Professional (CISSP) from International Information Systems Security
Certification Consortium (ISC2), or the Certified Information Security Manager
(CISM) from Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) or the
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from Information Systems Audit and
Control Association (ISACA).
Maintain active CPR and AED certifications.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ten years experience in an
Information Security operation or equivalent combination of formal
education/training and experience.
Other (including physical requirements, working conditions, etc.):
Must be available for 24/7 response to, or coverage of facilities and personnel.
