We are searching for a Senior Security Engineer in our Phoenix location whose
primary responsibility is to safeguard confidential information assets stored
or managed across the Wyndham Worldwide enterprise infrastructure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Coordinating the implementation, updating, maintaining, managing,
monitoring, and supporting of enterprise network and systems security
operations infrastructure throughout the shared services environment.
•Drive security architecture decisions that impact the overall health and
assurance of the enterprise environment as well as company and customers
confidential information
•Coordinating change control and device configuration management
activities on all security hardware.
•Develop and deliver management level reporting of firewall and Intrusion
Protection System (IPS) activity on a periodic basic
•Coordinating security incident response team activities, providing and
implementing tactical risk mitigation to incidents.
•Regulating and protecting the availability, confidentiality, and
integrity of customer, employee, and business information
•Consulting with other key members of the Enterprise IT and business staff
to review security architecture and design documents to ensure consistency,
accuracy and compliance with the articulated security posture and industry
requirements.
•Driving vulnerability and threat management integration and reporting
services across the Enterprise shared services environment
•Guiding/conducting the tactical and operational planning of vulnerability
assessment activities.
•Strengthening/enhancing security team effectiveness by accomplishing
additional security related results as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences
•5 – 7 years experience in Information Security with at minimum of 2
years of security device management
•In depth knowledge of the OSI networking model, TCP/IP protocols, and
network security best practices Firewall administration, especially CheckPoint
Firewall 1 on the Nokia platform
•Experience with Provider One or CheckPoint's Smart Center management
station
•TippingPoint Intrusion Protection System management and configuration
experience
•Relevant security certifications preferred such as CheckPoint, Cisco,
CISSP, etc.
•The ability to effectively communicate is an essential component of this
role as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.
