Position: Disaster Recovery Coordinator
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

The Disaster Recovery Planner will assist in the development, maintenance, and
testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and technology
associated with the restoration of the business and technology areas for
Scottrade. They will lead, facilitate, and works closely with the Business and
IT to manage continuity efforts and in establish testing schedules and managing
the testing efforts to ensure preparedness.
In addition Disaster Recovery Planner will plan for disaster recovery for all
aspects of the business, and will be responsible for establishing and
maintaining interactive communications and BCP training programs. In addition,
this person will develop, exercise, and maintenance of all disaster recovery
plans.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must demonstrate the capability and ability to perform the
following:
Work with business units to review business impacts and identify associated risk
Assist the business in assessing the overall impact of a disaster to the
business
Conduct recoverability assessments to determine the current and desired state
of recoverability, perform gap analysis, and recommend remediation action steps
Conduct Business Impact Analysis, in conjunction with Business Continuity
Coordinators, to ensure IT Disaster Recovery is infused into Business Continuity
Interdependency profiling between Business Units and IT applications, IT
applications and hardware, IT and vendor relationships, and any other IT aspect
Assist in the review of Scottrade Recoverability Strategy to ensure the
Strategy meets Scottrade's recovery needs
Develop DR Plans in conjunction with BC Plans
Facilitate and coordinate internal and external DR Plan exercises to ensure the
efficacy of plans
Maintain and update DR Plans on a regularly and as-needed basis
Facilitate recovery and continuity efforts during and after a disaster and
report to senior management
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
Strong verbal/written communications. Must be able to interface and coordinate
work efficiently and effectively with business units
Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in developing tasks and
managing resources to achieve target dates
Strong understanding of Information Technology
Strong understanding of Business Continuity Principals
Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and presentation skills
Required Experience
Solid knowledge of current disaster recovery and business continuity planning
techniques and technologies
2 + years of business continuity planning experience
2+ years of disaster recovery planning experience
Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and presentation skills
Financial Services Industry Experience, preferred
Education:
Bachelor is Science in Business, Management Information Systems or Computer
Science, preferred
