Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

client, a 10+ year old network security company that is currently looking to
add two junior to mid-level programmers to their world-class THREAT PREVENTION
team. While this elite team has been written up in the likes of Network World
and Secure Computing, they have access to one of the world’s largest
unique databases of over 100,000 distinct intrusions, threats, viruses, and
malicious code samples.
Seeking passionate security people that want to do programming, PEN testing
(offense), and Signature writing (defense).
Come work with a fun exciting team that has more job variety on a project by
project basis than literally working a lifetime of different jobs. You will be
trained by staff experts to go after real world security threats, intrusions,
and viruses. You will learn penetration, vulnerability testing, signature
writing, virus and malware analysis, honeypot configuration techniques,
computer forensics and much much more…
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have Skills:
• Enthusiastic/Strong interest in computer and network security
• BS Engineering degree/Computer Science or Computer
Engineering/equivalent work experience
• C programming experience
• Perl/PHP programming experience (backend systems scripting)
• Linux experience
• Strong networking skills (subnets, routing, setup) including TCP/IP and
common Internet protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSH, etc)
• Knowledge of open source security applications such as: Snort, Nessus,
Clam AV, Spam Assassin, nmap, Scapy, IPTables, Wireshark, tcpdump
• Understanding of basic security concepts including SQL and Shell
injections, buffer overflows, secure programming concepts, etc.
Nice to have Skills:
• Database programming experience POSTgre or MYSQL (not a DBA)
• Experience penetration testing
• Creating Snort or Clam signatures
