Position: Principal Software Engineer
Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Full time position with billion dollar software company.
Develops the system level architecture of new products as well as the
underlying software system design including consideration of possible
cross-product Supports older architectures and possible re-architecting
issues/efficiencies. Acts as a development project team technical lead. /
re-factoring efforts. Actively develops code: able to Coaches/mentors
software engineers. effectively address (deliver against in a timely fashion)
a wide range of Meets committed todesign/coding tasks from the mundane
to the challenging. Writes functional andschedules and effectively
communicates ongoing status. Works independently detailed design specs,
including test specs/requirements. to implement, test and debug software and
leads/assists others in accomplishing Collaborates well with other engineers
and other engineering these tasks. Offers proposed design groups, voluntarily
shares information changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts
significan
t latitude in determining objectives of an assignment. The Principal Engineer
is an expert developer with strong technical leadership skills, highly
experienced in the entire lifecycle of software development, from requirements
gathering, through design, development, testing, deployment and subsequent
maintenance and enhancement releases
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience using C/C++ language, with strong architecture, coding and
Excellent verbal and Proven technical leadership skills design skills
written English communication skills and the ability to function in a dynamic
team environment with a proven track record of completing projects on time and
 Windows NT/XP system internals PC architecture knowledge to
specification. In-depth experience required in one or more Windows Kernel
driver development. of the following areas: Real-time operating systems, and
device drivers; Windows disk and file system kernel drivers. Windows kernel
filter drivers x86 assembly language skills. BIOS / DOS extensions / drivers.
Familiar with ACPI, PCI, PnP, PCI-Express. Education/Experience Level: MSEE/CS
with 5 years experience BSEE/CS or equivalent and 7+ yrs. software engineering
and development experience
