Duties & Responsibilities:
--
Maintain and enhance existing vulnerability checks utilized by the DDI
assessment engine.
--
Create new vulnerability checks based upon information garnered from public
security lists, filter mappings, and proprietary findings submitted by members
of the DDI analyst team.
--
Perform Tier 3 triage support for vulnerability test issues reported by clients
or internal users.
--
Assist research principals in the evaluation of exploits submitted by the DDI
analyst team for use during penetration testing exercises.
--
Assist research principals in the development of proprietary exploits for use
by the DDI analyst team for use during penetration test exercises.
--
Prepare reports, as necessary, for the Vulnerability Research Team. Reports
should include, but not be limited to, metrics on vulnerability check
development, metrics on exploit review and creation, and metrics on
vulnerability disclosures.

Prepare vulnerabilities for release to the DDI client base and the general
public per the approve DDI Vulnerability Disclosure Process.
--
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
--Education--
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information
Assurance, or Physics. Work experience will be considered on a 2-for-1 basis
for education.
--Technical Experience--
*Must* be proficient in at least one scripting language such as Perl, Ruby, or
Python. Should have some experience developing in C or C++.
Should have a basic understanding of operating systems and networking. Should
have a strong interest in information security.
General Experience
Six months to one year of programming experience preferred. Must be capable of
typing at least 45 words per minute. Should have strong oral and written
communication skills. Should be capable of communicating technical issues to
the receiver in a clear and concise fashion.
