Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-07-07
This role is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the
Information Security Policy and Guidance Program.
*This role will coordinate and manage the development, communication,
maintenance and conformance testing of information security policy, standards,
guidelines, best practices, models, process, procedures and frameworks.
*Work with internal and external sources to coordinate and manage the
development, communication, maintenance and conformance testing of information
security policy, standards, guidelines, best practices, models, process and
procedures.
*Coordinate and facilitate meetings to ratify policies and other documentation.
*Promulgate Policies, standards, guidelines, best practices, procedures and
process documents.
*Develop and maintain a control warehouse illustrating alignment with industry
best practices.
*Develop methods to track compliance, provide tracking, analysis reports and
metrics for compliance and exceptions to policy.
*Maintain the Information Security Policies Web Site.
*Work effectively across a large information security team, understanding the
larger team’s role (network, platform and monitoring) in the overall
security strategy of the firm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
*Five to seven years experience in information security, risk or related fields
preferred.
*Previous experience with policy and standard development and maintenance a
must.
*Ability to work independently, be motivated and possess strong communications,
interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
*A proven ability to lead projects and wide-ranging change initiatives. Project
management experience is a must.
*Proven ability with Microsoft Office, HTML programming, data analysis, and a
broad understanding of technologies.
*Bachelor’s and Master's degree preferred. *Industry certifications such
as GIAC, CISSP etc. desirable but not necessary.
