PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSULTANT
VIRTUAL OFFICE:  NY/NJ

The Professional Services Consultant will provide high-value consulting and 
project management services to our largest and strategic customer base. You 
will have involvement in the professional services sales cycle and other 
professional services activities across a specified region including responding 
to proposals, client calls, identification of future opportunities, practice 
management, technical writing and other related tasks.

Responsibilities:
* Qualifies, validates and ensures appropriate technical sales strategy and 
activities
* Develops and delivers demonstrations and presentations that solve the 
customer/prospect's problems and needs
* Supports business development activities and marketing events
* Leads discovery sessions with technical evaluators, business users, 
executives and integrators to map customer requirements to our client's product 
functionality
* Takes ownership of meetings to ensure that meeting objectives are 
articulated, the agenda is followed, the objectives are validated at the end of 
the call, and follow up items are responded to promptly
* Delivers product demonstrations which feature our unique value proposition , 
competitive advantages and business benefits
* Delivers technical architecture presenting technical features, competitive 
advantages and business benefits
* Ensures compelling answers to questions and RFI/RFP responses
* Participates in and assists in the delivery of all appropriate product 
training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge
* Develops strong relationships with Engineering, Marketing, Product Marketing 
and provides input for product direction
* Sets proper expectations during the sales cycle to ensure customer 
satisfaction
* Transitions all information gathered during the sales cycle to the 
integration team (attends scoping session and provides documentation gathered 
during sales cycle)
* Builds and maintains relationships and customer satisfaction in relevant 
accounts




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Prerequisites
• At least five years of full-time work experience and proven success 
working for a top-tier information consulting, software, or other technology or 
business solutions company
• Technical experience or expertise in the majority of the following: 
Security software, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, Windows, Networks, Relational database 
technology, Systems administration,
Project Management
•    should have EITHER  c programming or java programming skills
•    Conceptual and practical knowledge of encryption
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Ability and desire to promote and sell products and service to decision 
makers
• Must be highly motivated, competitive, and a self-starter
• Ability to communicate and cooperate in a team sales environment
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent problem solving abilities and detail orientation, and a 
demonstrated background of
continuous learning
• BA or BS degree (technical concentration)
Industry or Technical Certification (i.e. SANS, CISSP, CNE, MCSE, SUN 
Professional) helpful.
