Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Santa Clara, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

<b>NOTE:</b> Only US & CDN Citizens or valid green card holders will be

As a Sr. Information Security Analyst, your responsibilities are to perform
security assessments, and to evaluate and provide recommendations on security
solutions.
You will direct, coordinate, plan, and organize IT systems certification and
accreditation activities. You will act as a focal point for all matters and
communications related to certification and accreditation of both new and
existing IT systems. As a hands-on specialist, you will conduct technical
evaluations of various platforms and make recommendations to management on how
to reduce vulnerabilities and mitigate risks including through improvements of
business processes and provide recommendations on security solutions.
In coordination with IS/IT personnel, you will participate in the drafting of
security policies, directives and standards to meet current and future business
requirements.
You will also be expected to, using the tools already available, monitor and
periodically report to management on policy and system non-compliance. Whenever
warranted by reported security incidents, or by discovery of, or suspicion of
resource abuse, information leak, policy violation or system vulnerability, or
at the request of the business, you will be asked to perform investigations to
gather evidence to support recommendations for process, policy or system
change, as well as for potential disciplinary and/or legal actions.
Finally you will assist in the management, expansion, and delivery of a
comprehensive corporate security awareness program to support current and
future information security initiatives, policies and directives, as well as
applicable laws and regulations, and other related issues. In this context you
will deliver presentations on security issues to senior management, and partake
in the development and delivery of security training to Information Technology
staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work
experience.
- Certified Information System Security Professional (<b>CISSP</b>)
certification <b>mandatory</b>.
- CISM, CISA, CIFI and other security-related certifications a plus.
- Ten (10) years of IT experience, including at least five (5) years in
information security, with experience on various platforms and systems.
- Thorough knowledge of network protocols, internet/firewall monitoring and
security concepts, security architectures and best practices. Previous
investigative experience a plus. Previous SOX/OSC or other legislation
compliance experience a plus.
- Must have strong business acumen, be discrete, have strong ethics and
demonstrated integrity.
- Strong oral and writing skills in English
- Strong leadership, communications, presentations and entrepreneurship skills.
