Position: Security Engineer
Location: Southfield, Michigan, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-06-30
This Senior Security Analyst will monitor and administer managed security
devices and security events utilizing various management consoles. This Analyst
will evaluate the type and severity of incoming events and take the appropriate
corrective action on routine problems or escalation procedures. Under general
supervision, this Analyst also serves as a member of the Security Operations
Center team to provide security infrastructure management services to ISS'
Managed Security Services (MSS) customers and provides front-line support in
monitoring and management of customer network security devices.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Experience with ISS Site Protector, Nagios and/or CheckPoint SmartDashboard
2. Strong experience with TCP/IP networking, Cisco products, UNIX, NT, and IP
Routing
3. Strong understanding of operating systems such as UNIX/Linux
4. Strong understanding of network services, vulnerabilities and attacks,
5. Knowledge of IDS/IPS systems & Checkpoint Firewall-1,
6. Experience with Remedy or some comparable ticketing system
7. Experience with Internet Security Systems products.

theory, security products/hardware and operating systems (Windows and
Linux/Unix).
