Position: Security Consultant
Location: London, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T

IT Security Manager required for global organisation based in London.
Purpose of the role:
To manage a small team to provide optimal IT Security for the global
infrastructure by providing appropriate global policies and procedures. To
direct the rollout of necessary systems and changes to secure the It
environment by working with teams in other regions. To work closely with the
internal audit teams to agree appropriate levels of process and investment are
in place to mitigate risks to an optimal level.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement global security strategy and policies for all
legacy and SAP environment benchmarked to external sources e.g. BS7799/European
security forum
•Provide security advice and monitoring service to the Business and the
Board with information on security issues and incidents
•Implement systems/processes to actively monitor the systems environment
•Delivery an optimal starters/leavers process in respect of password and
user ID administration
•Ensuring the company’s information assets are appropriately protected
•Update audit committee on execution of security procedures
•Manage staff to administer security across all platforms, key systems,
LANs and WANs, internet, e-mail and telecommunications
•Manage audit logging activities
•Providing advice to development teams, with provision of technical
support on security aspects of projects
•Monitor security developments and legislation changes to ensure leverage
and compliance
•Establish and lead a regular IT Security Forum for both IT and Audit
Management
•Coordinate timely responses from all It functions to Audit actions
•Develop working relationship with internal and external audit
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•Strong IT security skills across a broad range of technical disciplines
including SAP
•It Audit skills
•Good collaborative style and interpersonal skills in multi cultural
company
•Good communications skills to communicate/explain security issues in a
clear business focussed way to senior business management as well as IT
management colleagues
Desirable:
•SAP security experience for a SAP rollout, preferably across multiple
geographies
•Effective man management skills
•Good budget management skills
Qualifications:
•At least 3 years proven and successful It security management role in a
global or multi cultural environment with a good understanding of risk/threat
assessment/delivery
•Educated to degree level or equivalent
