Position: Security Engineer
Location: San Jose, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

TiVo is a pioneer in home entertainment, creating the first digital video
recorder (DVR). Today, the company continues to revolutionize the way consumers
watch and access home entertainment. TiVo connects consumers to the digital
entertainment they want, when and they want it.
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer who can implement workable solutions
to TiVo's unique security challenges.
Responsibilities:
o Identify potential threats and work with engineers to make recommendations
and implement cost effective security controls to meet corporate security
requirements and address security deficiencies and issues.
o Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard corporate
information technology infrastructures.
o Research, recommend, and implement changes to systems and procedures to
enhance system security.
o Develop and conduct periodic system security tests and audits.
o Perform analysis on newly proposed product features and provide working
solutions to resolve security issues.
o Communicate security requirements and procedures to all stakeholders.
o Coordinate with and support Development and other stakeholders as appropriate.
o Coordinate with auditors and responsible security control owners to address
audit issues.
o Perform continuous security monitoring to maintain a passing audit status.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
o Minimum of 5 years professional experience working in IT security as your
major job function.
o Well versed in all aspects of Linux, Windows, and network security.
o Recent experience in the configuration, operation, and management of
firewalls, VPN, SSH, IDS, Wireless, and vulnerability assessment tools.
o Solid understanding of technology best practices (operating systems, network
and computer operations, production support, and information security).
o Working knowledge on creation and implementation of client and server side
SSL certificates.
o Experienced in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) audit
remediation.
o Experience working in complex and integrated processing environments.
o Excellent communication and people skills.
o Detailed oriented, able to multi-task, with strong project coordination
skills.
o Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Computer Science/MIS/Engineering
preferred o CISSP or SANS GIAC certifications.
