Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Data Security professional to lead a
team in a highly visible role at Abbott's Corporate MIS Division. The TEAM LEAD
- CORPORATE IT DATA SECURITY will overseer a team that is principally
responsible for providing controlled, secured and certified access to Abbott
data assets for enterprise computer platforms, networks, databases, and systems
utilized across Abbott worldwide. The incumbent for this position will: Provide
daily work instructions, oversight and act as point of escalation for Corporate
IT Data Security Operations group. Manage budgetary responsibilities for
Corporate IT Data Security Operations group. Develop, integrate, improve,
document, and implement process and procedures utilized within Corporate IT
Data Security Operations group. Participate in efforts to design and implement
technologies that assist in further developing the offerings of Corporate IT
Data Security group. Manage recertification users and related ac
cesses for all systems maintained by Corporate IT Data Security annually in
accordance with Abbott policy. Negotiate and document service levels with
customer areas. Monitor metrics and ensure individual and team performance is
in line with SLAs and customer agreements. Recruits, interviews and
participates in hiring and termination processes for both Abbott and contract
staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business or related degree is required.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of eight years (ten is preferred) experience in IT Security is
required. It is important for this position to have a strong combination of the
following experiences: 5-7 Yrs: IT Security Operations (Network, Application,
Access) 1-3 Yrs: People Management experience 1-3 Yrs: Business Systems and
Site IT experience 2-3 Yrs: Process Development & Enhancement
Total Minimum Years of Experience:(Not necessarily the sum of the above) 8 -
10.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to interact with all levels of management across divisions and
functions
- Strong negotiation and decision skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to lead and implement change - International experience is a strong
plus
