Job Description (English)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this exciting position in VeriSign's Innovation Group, you will be an
individual contributor and part of a team responsible for supporting VeriSign's
growth into new and emerging markets.
VeriSign's Innovation Group, in partnership with the company's various lines of
businesses, is responsible for identifying areas of interest to VeriSign, and
designing and prototyping new product concepts.
This is a technical position that requires a highly motivated and skilled
software developer with expertise in software system architecture and
development and who brings a lot of enthusiasm about creating great software.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate will have the following experience:
* Strong skills in multithreaded software design and development and experience
in client/server programming
* Solid experience in designing and developing object-oriented software using
JAVA/C++
* Solid experience and knowledge of web accessibility methodologies including
JSP/Servlets, XHTML/XML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS.
* Demonstrated experience in Web Services development with XML-RPC, SOAP, and
REST-style interfaces.
* Experience with Hibernate, JDO and other types of ORM/Persistence
* Experience with some sort of MVC framework: struts, spring, JSF, etc.
* Experience with Open Source tools and utilities (Junit, HTTPunit, ant,
Subversion etc)
* Experience in working with RDBMS like Oracle, MS-SQL Server etc.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies and ability to apply them for solving
business problems.
* Must have demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in teams and
take initiative to investigate, learn and communicate.
* Minimum of 8 years of development/ maintenance/ implementation experience.
* BS in Computer Science or Engineering is desired, MS preferred.
