The Security Architect is an executive technical leader with proven and 
specific knowledge of:
Emerging enterprise requirements with the network security disciplines, 
Security industry trends and an ability to articulate Symantec as a leader in 
the industry,
Symantec’s products and services capabilities, and the competitive 
landscape and Symantec's leadership over the competitors point of view.


This position has responsibilities that include establishing and sustaining 
executive customer relationships, change enabling relationships with the 
Symantec business units, 
and enablement of the areas' systems engineering team. Specific 
responsibilities include:
1. Engaging at senior technical and executive levels with customers to develop 
productive and strategic relationships that  will result in integrated Symantec 
based solutions.
2. Advocating techniques with sales teams focusing on a solution approach and 
strategic guidance which combines technology  and services to solve customer 
business problems 
3. Providing strategic guidance to Symantec Business Unit leaders and  the 
CTO’s office based on real-world customer  feedback and broad industry 
knowledge.




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Qualifications
8 - 12 years of successful technical systems and sales engineering experience 
in the secuirty, Security consulting and/or data  protection industry. Proven, 
productive and referencable relationships with VP and Cxx decision makers that 
have resulted in increased sales and  strategic relationships between customer 
and supplier. Specific experience in assessing customers' technical maturity 
against their defined goals and objectives and moving these  assessments to 
solutions that furthered their employers business goals.
