Position: Security Architect
Location: Hertfordshire, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent P/T

Specific responsibilities of the security solution architect include:
- assessment of security risks and threats in specific parts of the business
and IT systems.
- understand and analyse business and IT strategic drivers to ensure solutions
are effective, appropriate and pragmatic.
- develop and maintain industry awareness and use this to identify trends and
solution opportunities.
- evaluation, specification and design of security solutions and technologies.
- critical review of solution architecture proposals, feedback and support to
project teams to ensure compliance with security policies, legislation and
regulation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will typically have an IT infrastructure background
with experience of solution design, deployment and operations in desktop,
server, network and security technologies. Ideally this will also been
performing an IT security related role although considertaion will be given to
candidates who are able to demonstrate working knowledge of IT security
concepts, threats, strategies and technologies such that they can develop into
a full time security architect position.
The role has a core emphasis on architecture and design competency, requiring
the candidate to provide examples where they have performed a solution
architecture or technical specialist design role on a large IT implementation
or within an architecture function.
Other key competencies include the ability to communicate clearly and simply in
both business and technical terms, to build trust in key stakeholders and to
influence them effectively and appropriately, to define creative, simple,
supportable and pragmatic solutions, to contribute effectively within a team
and with architects and technical specialists from other teams.
