Position: Security Architect
Location: Hertfordshire, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2007-06-10
My client requires a solution architect to work with the Security Enterprise
Architect responsible for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
(PCIDSS) programme. This role will primarily involve working with the UK and
group IT departments, on local IT solutions and on the group operating model.
Following conclusion of the PCIDSS programme, the candidate will continue to
work within the security strategy department, with the following
responsibilities:
-Assessment of security risks and threats in specific parts of the business or
in IT systems
-Understand and analyse business and IT strategic drivers to ensure solutions
are effective, appropriate and pragmatic
-Specification of security solutions
-Critical review of solution architecture proposals, feedback and support to
project teams to ensure compliance with security policies, legislation and
regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate will have considerable experience of working in large organisations
with detailed in depth knowledge of corporate IT security issues and design.
They will have worked on high profile security projects and have experience of
influencing at all levels within the business.
The candidate must have at least one current security certification from one of
the following bodies; ISC2, GIAC, ISACA CompTIA and it is desirable that they
are educated to Degree level or equivalent, and possess solid experience in
some or all of the following areas;
-Financial systems / payment systems
-Security methods and practices
-Data encryption technologies and products
-Physical security methods
-Firewall products and technologies
-Identity management, access control methods and solutions
-Application security
-Defining and articulating security requirements
-Performing threat analysis, defining and agreeing appropriate
mitigation
-Security audit and finding solutions
This is a highly demanding role for an experienced security specialist.
