Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Mountain View, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-06-08
As a Sales Engineer you will perform both onsite and remote software
demonstrations. Matching customer needs to the benefits of our Network Security
Management application. You will perform onsite POC (Proof of Concepts) and
assist customers in selecting our product. The successful candidates will have
strong presentation, speaking skills and writing skills, self starter and can
work independently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Performing Product Demonstrations (matching product features and customer
benefits)
•Working with Customers on Proof of Concepts
•Assist on occasion with customer deployments
•Perform Training for customers and partners
•Follow up with technical team to eliminate any purchasing objections
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Min 3 years Experience deploying and configuring Network Security
devices, Firewall Troubleshooting in Enterprise or Service Provider
Environments or worked as pre-sales engineer in a network security management
company.
•Strong Presentation Skills both onsite and over the internet (e.g. Live
Meeting)
•Ability to work independently
•Excellent writing skills
•Software Security management experience a plus
•Willing to Travel 50%, some international travel
•Location Mountain View, CA Preferred, but can be flexible
•Excellent time management skills
•US Citizen Preferred or have VISA
Have Knowledge:
•Routers: Cisco 2600, 2800, 3700, 3800, 7200, and 7500 series
•Switches: Cisco 1900, 2900, 4000, 4500, 5000, and 6500 series (Cisco IOS
and CatOS)
•Firewalls: Cisco PIX, ASA and FWSM (Firewall Service Module) ASA5000
•Routing Protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP
•IPSEC VPN
•Check Point FW1, NG
•Netscreen Firewalls
•Firewall T/S (e.g. Syslog, Sniffer, Hit counts)
Education: B.S. Degree required, CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional
CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Analyst
Computer Knowledge Requirements: Viso, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
required
