Manager Strategic Application Solutions
Position Description: (General)
The candidate for this position will manage the Strategic Application Solution
Team which is part of the ArcSight development team. The team is responsible
for developing industry solutions that address the security needs of Fortune
500 companies. It is responsible for developing solutions across all of
ArcSight’s product lines: ArcSight ESM, ArcSight Logger, and the ArcSight
Network Synergy Platform.
Managing a team of security experts, the candidate will also conduct research
and assist developing solutions. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Log
Analysis, Intrusion Prevention, Vulnerability Assessment, Regulatory
Compliance, and Network Management. The candidate has previously managed a
development team.
Position Responsibilities:
 Manage a team of security experts.
 Responsibility to deliver world-class solutions on time and
budget.
 Interact with development teams across the company, as well as
product management to coordinate product releases.
 Understand customer problems and use-cases to address them in
the solution development.
 Research and develop content for Solution Packages, including
correlation rules, dashboards, reports, visualizations, etc.
Required Experience:
 Project management skills
 Prior experience in business consulting and security solution
implementation
 4+ years of hands-on experience in Network Security and Risk
management
 Experience with one or more of the following Security
Information Management products: ArcSight, HP OpenView, Tivoli, CA, BMC, etc.
 Working knowledge of analyzing log files from disparate
sources, such as NIDS, ILP, databases, etc.
 Excellent communication and writing skills
 Ability and desire to learn new technologies fast
 Detail-oriented
Desired Experience:
 Expertise with regulatory compliance, including designing,
reporting and testing
 Expertise with IT frameworks, such as ITIL, Cobit, COSO, ISO
27001/2
Education:
 MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
 CISSP or GCIA a plus
