Enterprise Security Architect
Position Description:
Information security is more vital than ever to financial services, and
Vanguard is searching for an experienced Enterprise Security Architect to
recommend, develop, implement and monitor information security standards and
procedures, and to promote awareness and compliance throughout the IT Division.
You’ll work closely with all IT and business units to balance operational
and information security needs for systems and applications. You’ll
evaluate potential impacts on business unit operations when new systems are
under development, and advise all interested parties of new security controls.
You’ll lead the definition of enterprise security controls, provide
consulting to project teams, and perform assessments of infrastructure and
application assets, identifying potential and actual system risks and
recommending corrective measures. Additionally, you’ll investigate
industry trends and new technologies, providing guidance and recommendations to
senior management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an
equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Eight to ten years of experience in an information systems environment, with
strong knowledge of systems architecture and information security.
- Excellent knowledge of certification reviews, accreditation activities, risk
analyses, application and system software (including security software and
hardware), related capabilities, and performance characteristics.
- Thorough understanding of data communications and the concepts, theories, and
practices of advanced technologies.
- Mastery of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, and policies and
procedures of information security and technical security safeguards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
