Security Solutions Architect must provide consulting expertise to CSO/CIO level customers in the areas of security architecture and network operations. Candidate will hold frequent C-level discussions about corporate security concerns, industry security trends, regulatory compliance issues, and bring innovative security solutions into large, strategic accounts. Candidate is seen by customer executives and Cisco executives as being able to articulate the security vision, consider key corporate business drivers, and drive network wide change were appropriate. Seen as a thought leader within Cisco. Leads the technical direction on the creation of methodologies and procedures, best practices, and thought leadership. Responsible for thought leadership with new security ideas on white papers, industry event presentations, and mentoring peers and managers on the security systems architectures across technologies. Drives the solution level view in the development and incubation of new services. Leads efforts to successfully bring new security services to large strategic customer accounts (Fortune 150). Works with customers to document network wide IT requirements and provides a complete technical solution for large, global customers or equivalent sized business unit of moderate to high complexity. Successful candidate: 1. Will have held CSO/CIO level positions in medium to large corporations. 2. Will have worked with business and security consulting companies in similar architectural roles 3. Will have demonstrated experience in security operations for large network environments 4. Must have complete understanding of information security domains 5. Must have excellent business acumen, effective communication and presentation skills, and ability to build rapport with C-level and customer decision makers. 6. Must have complete understanding of network architecture. 7. Must have deep expertise in security domains, plus two or more technology domains: datacenter, voice, wireless, infrastructure, applications - but fluency in all technology domains. 8. Must have expertise in network / security operations, systems management, change management, security policy. 9. Must be fluent in key IT business architecture areas including business process design and governance. 10. Must be able to influence and lead system level consulting projects leveraging design teams, sales, delivery teams and partners to build strategic and complex network security solutions 11. Must have the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive change with our partners, multiple product business units, and delivery teams leveraging multiple technologies to create specific solutions for customers 12. Must lead the process in correlating business issues around technology and processes to create security architectural solutions specific to a given customer or segment 13. Must have proven ability to lead technical team of subject matter experts 14.
