The Role
The jobholder is responsible for providing advice and guidance to the staff in
respect of information security matters and to monitor the performance of the
Group in meeting the necessary requirements.
Job Outline
To undertake monitoring and reviews of information security procedures, systems
and practices and, provide appropriate written reports that prescribe
appropriate, relevant and pragmatic corrective action.
To carryout debriefs with senior managers to communicate results of monitoring.
To ensure that any lessons learnt from monitoring is shared across the group.
To assist with the development and management of a system of controls and
reporting across the Organisation which provides managerial assurance that
information security risks are identified, managed and pre-empted.
To interpret information security regulation and to provide guidance to the AA
group with a view to risk mitigation.
Work towards establishing a high level of understanding, commitment and buy-in
amongst the management group and employees towards good practice in relation to
information security.
Assist with the education of business leaders and change implementers with
regard to adherence to the information security strategy.
Develop user friendly policies which support the strategic framework for
information security.
Provide specialist input where appropriate to business cases, incident
response, projects or investigations.
Maintain an up to date awareness of new products and systems.
Co-operate, liaise and communicate with other Risk & Compliance team members to
ensure optimum synergy is achieved in line with compliance team and the
business objectives.
Play a key role in Identifying trends and issues / risks and
developing/implementing action plans to address these issues.
To provide support to the Operational Integrity Manager.
Person Specification
Experience of information security audit and risk assessment.
Well developed influencing and persuasion skills.
Ability to educate and communicate with all levels of employees, through a
variety of media.
Financial and regulatory awareness.
Planning and organisational skills.
Ability to understand and interpret the implications of information security
risk.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Self motivated, organised, methodical with the ability to deliver.
