Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-05-04
OBJECTIVES
Support the AS400: Software & Hardware. Help end users with any problems they
may encounter with Modular or AS400 Client Access and peripheral hardware.
Review process.
Communication with MIS
Learn new ERP software.
Backup to PC Analyst in the support of the NT Network & Phone system.
STRUCTURE:
The position of Systems Coordinator is one of IT who reports to the Controller
– Western Canada. The other positions include; AR, AP, Billing, Payroll,
IT and Accounting
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reports: Ensure the integrity of the report by communicating the parameters
with the user, and testing the results.
Upgrades to the AS400 operating system or Modular software.
Reporting software problems to MIS, and follow up with fix required.
Availability to the end users & help them to the best of my ability.
DIMENSIONS:
Support three locations.
+/- 100 users.
+/- 10 support calls per day.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Query database for specific report requests.
Setup users on the 400 & security in Modular.
Review Modular needs with users.
Upgrades to the 400 operating system & Modular.
Troubleshoot hardware problems IE. Printer to the AS400
Backup to the support of the PC analyst
Ability to adapt to a change in priorities
QUALIFICATION PROFILE:
Post Secondary Education: related courses
Degree or diploma within an IT path
Experience
Good Communication
Time Management & organizational skills
Independent worker & involved team member.
