Position: Security Product Manager
Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

Voltage has an Opportunity for a Product Manager in our Palo Alto Headquarters
Career Summary:
As Product Manager, you will be part of a team that is charged with a product
line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the
profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company.
You will define and prioritize product requirements based on market analyses,
and input from both customers and different parts of the Voltage organization.
Define and manage a detailed product roadmap and development plan for several
software modules; and ensure those systems meet and exceed key metrics,
including: revenue generation, development cost and schedule scalability, and
business functionality. As a skilled communicator, you will be successful
working with all internal functional areas, i.e. your engineering counterpart
to define product release requirements, and Product Marketing to define the
go-to-market strategy to aid their understanding of product positioning, key
benefits, and target customer. Serve as the internal and external evan
gelist for your product offering, including working with the sales, channel
and key customers.
Responsibilities:
Manage entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical
activities
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting
market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily
Development/Engineering, & Product Marketing) through market requirements,
product contract, and positioning
Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all
departments to execute
Analyze in-bound potential partner relationships
Conduct competitive analysis
Manage communications with industry analysts, including the positioning of
Voltage technologies within the broader infrastructure software market
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
6+ years working in software product management
B.A./B.S. degree, preference for a Computer Science or related technical degree
Familiarity with enterprise software with preference for knowledge of the
security industry
Passion for creating and maintaining a successful customer experience with new
products
Experience building great offerings with a focus on the usability
Track record demonstrating strong leadership and execution on product plans
Passion for competition
Technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex products
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent collaboration abilities – successful working with a wide variety
of internal team members
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the
ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and
influence decisions
Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to adapt messaging to
target audience
Initiative and a ‘self-starter’ attitude, with sufficient flexibility
Able to quickly gain a detailed understanding of Voltage’s products and
solutions, along with current programs, promotions, events and professional
services offerings
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are
essential
Sense of humor
