UNDERGRADUATE INTERN POSITION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
VeriSign Authentication Services division provides security and strong
authentication solutions to secure the information assets of over 450,000
websites and over 1000 large enterprises.
We are looking for an energetic and talented Intern for the core security team
to develop and enhance the Authentication Service infrastructure platform and
applications.
That platform comprises of mission critical, highly available and secure
components. The candidate will work with the team in designing and implementing
enhancements, participating in ongoing product releases, researching and
resolving product usage issues for Customer Service and assisting Production
Services with performance measurement of deployed applications and writing
monitors to verify correct functioning of applications and alert on failures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Good analytical skills and programming background in C, C++ or Java.
Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux for application development.
Experience with shell/PERL scripting.
Experience with SQL and Oracle database programming.
Exposure to Cryptography, Public Key Certificates, Web Server, J2EE and
software methodologies.
