Position: CSO
Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Main Responsibilities
Advises Sr. Management and makes recommendations on the adoption and
application of security plans and procedures.
Develops and implements Information Technology (IT) Security, and risk
management policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage daily security operations of the IT network
Monitors entire organization to ensure compliance with policies/procedures
Implements, tests, and monitors policies and procedures for continuity of
operations planning (COOP) for the IT Organization - managed IT environments
and applications
Provides estimates for security costs and other resources; assist in the
budgetary planning and long-term security planning
Manages personnel and resources assigned to the security operations (Currently
3 people on the team)
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Thorough knowledge of multiple aspects of IT security concepts, principles, and
procedures including information security, network, operations and internet
security
Thorough knowledge of the current management principles; policies/practices
Knowledge of network architecture and operations; considerable knowledge of
security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and hacker techniques
Knowledge of public administration policies; knowledge of continuity of
operations planning requirements and testing
Ability to prepare and present comprehensive technical reports; Ability to
plan, supervise, and coordinate multiple business functions
Ability to plan, organize direct, and evaluate the work of other; Ability to
analyze technical data and draw logical conclusions from them
Ability to write and speak effectively, ability to develop and maintain working
relationships with administrative officials, subordinates and independent
contractors
Qualifications
BS/BA is Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics,
Engineering or closely related field
5 years of IT Security experience involving mainframes, Win NT and UNIX
CISSP or comparable professional certification in information systems security
may be substituted for one year of experience.
