Position: Software Engineer
Location: Mountain View, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs the activities of a software systems development function, software
applications development function, and a software quality assurance function
for software enhancements and new products.
Take a key role in the development of a massively scalable distributed file
system and data processing capability. The successful candidate will be
responsible for providing hands-on implementation services related to the
development of requirements, architecture, design, implementation (coding) and
integration for the management and monitoring aspects of the system. The
candidate must have considerable experience in Java and C++ software
development in a Linux/Unix environment. This position calls for experience
with highly available and scalable infrastructure level systems development.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are a must. The candidate must
be a team player that can work well with a group of highly accomplished
developers. Must be a self starter and able to perform all tasks with a nominal
amount of supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
8+ years professional experience designing / implementing high volume,
highly-available and reliable software architectures.
2+ years experience with SNMP agent, manager and MIB development
4+ years professional experience developing C++ software in a Linux/Unix
environment
4+ years professional experience developing Java-based web applications
2+ years professional experience developing multithreaded server applications
2+ years professional experience developing SQL-based applications
Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and test processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team following established
guidelines
Ability to prepare tasks estimates, test schedules and to provide input to
master schedule
Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to review project technical documents and provide input as required
Professional experience with development of Java Web based user interfaces
Professional experience with the development of systems management for
networked devices
Experience with the automated provisioning of servers, operating systems,
filesystems and applications
Professional experience developing RPC servers
B.S/M.S in Computer Science or related field
