Position: Auditor
Location: Jacksonville /Gainesville, Florida, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-05-10
* Evaluate the adequacy of IT controls and processes of assigned audit areas,
including the strengths and weaknesses associated with those areas as they
operate in the Company environment.
* Determine compliance with both affiliate and corporate policies and
procedures.
* Ensure that the IT assets of the Company are properly safeguarded and
ensure that electronic information is accurate and adequately secured.
* Promote operational efficiencies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Develop audit programs to test assigned areas based on a thorough risk
assessment process.
* Compile and document comprehensive audit workpapers supporting audit scope,
procedures performed and conclusions.
* Analyze, evaluate, and document the IT systems to determine if they are
properly configured, controlled, utilized and monitored.
* Participate in pre-implementation reviews of new systems/products/tools to
ensure that there are proper controls over the development phase and that
adequate controls are included in the new system.
* Analyze file conversion procedures and controls and system test plans to
determine adequacy and completeness.
* Analyze existing extraction programs for utilization. If inadequate,
consult with IT Audit Supervisors and the IT Audit Manager on designing new
extraction routines and developing software to accomplish extraction(s).
* Develop and/or utilize software to perform parallel simulation, file
comparisons, data validations, etc.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of applications security and processing recovery
capabilities, as well as data processing center network and equipment security,
recoverability, and operational controls.
* Communicate with various levels of management during all phases of work and
keep them apprised of control weaknesses identified both during the course of
the assignment and upon completion.
* Participate in the preparation of draft and final audit reports outlining
strengths and weaknesses of operations and recommendations for improvement.
* Plan and direct on-site audit work to ensure that the audit is properly
completed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technology:
* Single point of contact for all Internal and external audits affecting GIS.
* Creates, maintains and improves IT Audit and Quality controls for GIS
platforms and systems
GTS components affecting GIS client implementations and internal solutions.
* Performs control reviews on systems development operation, programming,
control and security procedures and standards in support of internal and
external audits and Quality initiatives.
* Reviews system backup disaster recovery and maintenance procedures and
design/implement new and enhanced controls.
* Evaluates and reviews a range of mainframe, PC and distributed production and
applications computer systems in support of internal and external audits and
Quality initiatives.
* Performs process analysis of critical business controls including identifying
processes that need re-engineering or that need process enhancements to improve
effectiveness and efficiency
recommending strategies and guiding management with the implementation of the
plans.
* Facilitate situation analysis, root cause analysis and gap analysis between
process performance and established objectives for GIS including diagnosing the
causes of inefficiencies and ineffectiveness, recommending remedies and
countermeasures, identifying a baseline for the process, guiding the teams in
the development of implementation of the plans.
* Researches and analyzes data for use in improvement initiatives.
* Works closely with PMO to ensure project plan development includes IT Audit
and Quality controls and gates for all implementations.
* Design and implement an intranet site as a repository for IT Audits and
Quality processes and procedures.
* Utilizes current technology to support all SOX audits.
* Knowledgeable of current technological developments/trends including software
requirements for the auditing and quality of computing systems and procedures
systems development and programming.
