<b><center>IT Security Specialist</center></b>
We have several immediate positions available in the following teams:
 Risk Assessment-successful candidates must have strong working
knowledge of physical, operational and technical security practices and
procedures
 Major Applications C&A-successful candidates must have
experience with building and delivering comprehensive C&A packages, prepared in
accordance with agency needs and applicable standards such as NIST, FISMA and
other regulations and best practices
 Infrastructure C&A- successful candidates must have experience
with mainframe security and must be able to evaluate the correctness and
quality of C&A work performed to ensure that C&A’s are standardized,
correct and complete
<b>The Job:</b>
The IT Security Specialist provides information assurance services to
government customers. Information assurance services may include certification
and accreditation support, policy and procedure development, risk assessments
and compliance support.
<b>Job Duties:</b>
• Oversee the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and
implement solutions to security requirements
• Implement and develop IT security policies
• Gather and organize technical information about an organization's
mission goals and needs, existing security products and ongoing programs in the
IT arena
• Perform risk analyses which also includes risk assessment
• Provide support to plan, coordinate and implement an organization's
information security
• Provide support for facilitating and helping organizations identify
their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and
implement security related to IT systems
• Travel may be required up to 25% of the time
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The qualified candidate must possess a working knowledge of several of the
following areas: understanding of business security practices and procedures;
knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security
implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools;
familiarity with commercial products and current Internet technology. Must
possess proven IT skills with strong communications skills, including giving
formal presentations. Must also demonstrate experience directing the
development of information and information security systems based on
understanding the information gathering requirements of customers. Must be
willing and able to successfully complete a thorough background investigation.
Individuals with IT auditing experience encouraged to apply.
<b>Education & Certifications:</b>
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or a minimum of
10 years working experience
• Professional certifications, such as the Certified Information Systems
Security
• Professional (CISSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Global
Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) are a plus
