Specific activities may change from time to time. 1.Provides leadership for designing efficient processes that will provide optimum client service and support for the daily administration of all supported security systems. 2.Provides information security consulting services and directs and implements the necessary controls and procedures that will effectively protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction. 3.Provides project management leadership on assigned projects to include preparing project definitions, cost/benefit evaluations, operational impact analyses, and project plan execution. 4.Provides a leadership role in the design, evaluation, recommendation, testing, and implementation of security systems and processes that will meet the access control and data integrity standards of the information security program for all corporate computing platforms/environments. 5.Make recommendations for assigned personnel regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers and terminations within established policies and guidelines. 6.Plans and develops departmental budgets in accordance with established guidelines; administers compliance to meet budgetary goals and negotiates changes as required. 7.Evaluates new/changing technology/systems from an operating risk perspective and prepare security strategies that will provide the degree of asset protection compliant with corporate security policies. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, business or related field: equivalent education and related training/work experience is acceptable 2.Six years experience in Information Technology, with five years experience in information security 3.Thorough knowledge of information security risk assessment techniques, system development methodologies, and project/time management disciplines 4.Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills 5.Strong oral and written communication skills to include effective presentation skills 6.Must possess advanced understanding and use of data processing concepts, mainframe operating systems, and mainframe security systems Additional Details: Experience managing a team of 15+ doing RACF mainframe security is strongly preferred. CISSP or CISM certification is a plus.
